The Prime Minister announced on 4th January that GCSE and A Level exams will not take place this summer in the normal way.
As far as we know:
- Vocational examinations including BTEC assessments will go ahead
- GCSE and A Level examinations will proceed. Details will be shared once we know them.
What we definitely know:
- Your hard work will still be recognised – the new system will make sure this is fully reflected in your final grade.
- Your eventual results will be indistinguishable from real exams. None of your ambitions for the future will be affected by this decision.
- The new system will be fair and balanced – using objective evidence and moderated carefully.
For now, just turn up to all your online lessons, keep working hard, and know that every piece of work you complete will still make a difference.
