Year 7 Admissions – September 2025
Applications for Year 7 places at Poole High School are managed by Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) Council. Parents must apply through their home Local Authority (the council responsible for the area where they live).
How to Apply
Applications can be made:
- Online via the BCP School Admissions website.
- By post using an application form from your Local Authority.
The deadline for submitting your application is 31 October 2024.
Important Dates
31 October – Deadline for applications. Any applications received after this date will be classed as late applications and will not be considered until after the initial offers are made.
1 March – National Offer Day. Parents will receive notification of their child’s allocated school place on this day, or on the first working day after this day.
What if My Application is Unsuccessful?
If your child is not offered a place at Poole High School, you have the right to appeal the decision.

Open Events 2025
To help families learn more about Poole High School, we hold Open Events where you can meet staff, tour the school, and hear from the Headteacher.
Year 6 Open Evening – Thursday 3 July 2025
The evening will include Headteacher talks and guided tours of our departments.
