Over 14 million people live below the poverty line in the UK, with individuals going  hungry every day for a range of reasons, from benefit delays to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income and the current pandemic.

Poole High School is working together to collect as much as we can as a school for the local foodbank, and this is how you can help…

What can you donate?

Food

Please NO Pasta, baked beans or tinned peas

Desperate for:

  • Long Life Milk (UHT)
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned meals e.g macaroni cheese, spaghetti bolognaise, chilli etc.
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tinned Soup
  • Tea/coffee
  • Tinned fruit
  • Biscuits
  • Squash
  • Sugar
  • Rice pudding
  • Custard
  • Chocolate for children (Christmas selection boxes)

Non-food essentials

Toiletries – deodorant, toilet paper, shower gel, shaving gel, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, tooth paste, hand wipes

Household items – laundry liquid detergent, laundry powder, washing up liquid

Please do not donate anything that needs to be kept in a fridge/freezer or is fresh (like fruit, veg and bread)

When and where here do you take it?

Thursday 10 and Friday 11 December there will be collection mini buses for you to donate your items on arrival to school.

Food will be delivered to the Foodbank on Tuesday 15 December
