School Tours
Visits to the school for prospective Year 7 students and their parents are encouraged through both our summer term Year 5/6 open evening and our bookable visit system, details of which are available below.
We ask that all parents applying for an in-year place for Year 7 - 11 after the normal age of transfer has occoured please contact admissions@poolehigh.poole.sch.uk in the first instance for further information.
Year 6 Autumn Tours
We run arranged tours of the school during the school day for a period of time in September to support prospective Year 6 parents considering their schools for the normal age of transfer. You can book and manage your tours with time slots available as published through our online booking system.
We ask that any tour consists of one child with one adult to help us manage the number of people on our site during the school day. If you wish to make a special request outside this arrangement, please contact admissions@poolehigh.poole.sch.uk after booking your time.
Sixth Form
If you are considering an application to our sixth form and wish for a tour, we ask you to contact our sixth form team at sixthform@poolehigh.poole.sch.uk
Important Dates for Year 6
31 October – Deadline for applications to BCP. Any applications received after this date will be classed as late applications and will not be considered until after the initial offers are made. Applications to Poole High School for normal age of transfer can be made here.
1 March – National Offer Day. Parents will receive notification of their child’s allocated school place on this day, or on the first working day after this day.
