Learning Support Assistant

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Salary Scale: 5
Hourly rate: £9.74
Daily hours: Monday – Friday, 8.25am – 4.00pm (1 hour unpaid break)
Weekly hours: 33 hours Term time only
Actual salary: £14,013

Start: 24th February 2020

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team supporting and promoting the development and learning of our students. This role will involve establishing rapport with students and supporting them with their academic, physical, emotional, behavioural and social needs in lessons or small groups. GCSE A-C Mathematics and English is essential. This post would be suitable for a candidate seeking teaching qualifications in the future.

Position: Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor

Weekly hours: 30, Term time only
Actual salary: £12,739
Start date: 20th April 2020

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor supervise classes for absent teachers as required, assisting students with the work that has been set by the teacher or the Head of Department. Proactively managing classes, creating a positive and purposeful atmosphere. Supporting teachers and heads of department in their roles as required, both as Teaching Assistant support in the classroom and through administrative tasks. Also responsible for the maintenance and renewal of classroom and corridor displays in an area of the school.
