GCSE results 2019
At Poole High School we are most proud of the range of subjects our students are able to study and achieve in.
Our 2019 GCSE and applied results are the sixth year of improved results for our students, opening multiple pathways for their futures. Poole High School achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.48 placing us in the top 13% of schools nationally. This was achieved with an attainment 8 score of 47.8
Students achieving 5 good GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 4 was 67%, and 46% at grade 5. 51% of our students entered the English Baccalaureate, well ahead of the 40% England average. Our EBACC average point score was 4.19, ahead of the England average of 4.07.
96% of our students stay on in education or enter employment after their GCSE studies
A Level results 2019
We are again celebrating the achievements of our hard working students. When finalised, Poole High School anticipates being in the top 10% of schools nationally for our A Level progress. In effect, this means that students’ life chances through an education at Poole High School are exponentially higher than the alternatives.
We are thrilled that all students applying to university have secured good
university places, with a diverse range of degrees including; Medicine, Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Science, Journalism, Cyber Psychology, Law, Music, English and Teaching.
Our large sixth form allows students a wide range of A Level subjects all
recognised by universities and employers. With over 75% of student achieving A*-C at A Level they have again achieved record results this summer, congratulations to them all.
